Bat photographs by J. Scott Altenbach represent a lifetime of bat research and photography. Since 1991, he has undertaken bat surveys of abandoned mines for the New Mexico Abandoned Mined Lands Program as well as for public and private concerns, including the National Park Service, in other states.
